The Spider 2 does not run Modbus. The Spider 2 AMR does. It connects PLCs, instruments and third-party devices over RS-485 or Ethernet, adding hundreds of Modbus inputs beyond the 8 native inputs. Its optional Modbus TCP/IP server sends the unit's data over LAN to BMS, SCADA, PLC and similar systems.
