How does the Illuminator work?
The Illuminator uses GSM/SMS or Ethernet communication to control lighting circuits. Users activate or deactivate field lights by sending a text message, entering a keypad code, or using the Illuminator Central web platform for remote access and scheduling.
What is the difference between the Illuminator and Illuminator 2?
Illuminator 2 is the latest version featuring faster communication, updated hardware, and enhanced integration with Illuminator Central. It is designed for councils managing multiple sites, with improved reliability and easier setup.
Do I need a smartphone to control the lights?
No. The Illuminator system includes an optional numeric keypad that allows users to turn lights on or off using access codes, ideal for clubs or community users who want to keep access simple.
Can lighting schedules be automated?
Yes. Users can create weekly automatic lighting timers through the web interface, ensuring lights turn on and off according to programmed times or booking events.
Is DALI dimming supported?
The Illuminator is not directly compatible with DALI lights, but third-party DALI controllers can be implemented to set lighting scenarios to dimming levels for training, competition, or professional games.
