Users Activate Lights

What is the Illuminator?
The Illuminator is a sports lighting control system that allows councils, clubs, and facility managers to operate floodlights on sports fields. Halytech's Illuminator range enables users to switch lights on or off, schedule sessions, and monitor usage via mobile phone, keypad, or online portal.
How does the Illuminator work?
The Illuminator uses 4G mobile (SMS and data), or Ethernet, to control lighting circuits via intermediate relays and contactors. Users switch lights on and off by sending a text message or entering a keypad code. Administrators use the unit's web interface, or Illuminator Central, for scheduling and oversight.
What is the difference between the Illuminator and Illuminator 2?
Illuminator 2 is a new product with new hardware inside, although the two look the same from the outside. It adds Wi-Fi for setup, secure email, remote software upgrades, system alarms and the full Spider alarm suite.
Do I need a smartphone to control the lights?
No. Clubs send a standard SMS from any mobile phone using their 4-digit PIN. An optional numeric keypad gives control without a phone.
Can lighting schedules be automated?
Yes. Administrators can create weekly automatic lighting timers through the web interface, ensuring lights turn on and off according to programmed times.
Is DALI dimming supported?
The Illuminator is not directly compatible with DALI lights, but third-party DALI controllers can be implemented to set lighting scenarios to dimming levels for training, competition, or professional games.
